I saw a beast coming up out of the sea Having ten horns and seven heads and on his horns ten crowns And on his heads blasphemous names

The beast which I saw was like a leopard And his feet were like those of a bear And his mouth like the mouth of a lion And the dragon gave him his power and his throne

And great authority one of his heads was as though it had been smitten Unto death and his deadly wound was healed And the whole earth wondered after the beast

And they worshipped the dragon Because he gave his authority to the beast And they worshipped the beast saying Who is like the beast and who is able to make war with him

And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things And blasphemies and authority to act for forty-two months And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth Having two horns like a lamb and he spoke like a dragon

And he exercised all the authority of the first beast before him And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it To worship the first beast whose deadly wound was healed

And he does great signs that he even makes fire come down Out of the sky to the earth in the sight of men And he deceives those who dwell on the earth Because of the signs which it was given him to do

He had power to give life to the image of the beast So that the image of the beast would itself both speak And cause as many as would not worship The image of the beast to be killed
