Bichri was the father of Sheba the Benjamite who led a brief rebellion against King David after Joab's conflicts had divided Israel. Sheba rallied the northern tribes to resist David, but Joab pursued and killed him in Abel of Beth-maacah, ending the revolt. Bichri's name marks the lineage of this troublemaker.
