Remaliah was the father of Pekah, king of Israel during the 8th century. He is known only through his son, who assassinated the sitting king and took the throne, leading Israel during a crisis when Rezin of Syria and Pekah himself threatened Judah under King Ahaz. His son's brief reign marked the final years before Israel's fall to Assyria.
